Glenn Heights County Line Cookoff

Come out to the 2nd Annual Glenn Heights County Line Cookoff, a BBQ Competition held by the Red Oak Area Chamber in partnership with the City of Glenn Heights.  This BBQ Competition is sanctioned by the Outlaw BBQ Association and will be held at Heritage Park in Glenn Heights on March 27th-28th.  

The main portion of the competition is three parts: Brisket, Pork Ribs, and Chicken.  For each category of meat, the top 10 competitors will be awarded, as well as an overall Grand Champion and Reserve Champion for the entire event, with a guaranteed $5000 payout.  The entry fee into the competition is $200 ($50 off for 1st Responders), and competitors must provide their own meats and ingredients, as well as prepare their BBQ on-site (overnight camping is encouraged).  Judging will begin at Noon on Saturday.  For a full list of competition rules and regulations, click this link.

Aside from the main competition, we will be holding two different $20 Jackpot competitions.  These are open to everyone, not just full competitors.  At 7pm on Friday night, we will hold a competition for the best Ribeye Steak.  On Saturday morning at 9am, another will be held for the best Breakfast taco.  Entry fee is $20 for each entry.  These two separate Jackpot competitions are "winner-take-all" competitions, so bring your best!

For the Competitors staying overnight, your registration fee covers your parking fee.  You will be provided a 25ft x 60ft parking space for your trailer/gear/etc.  No access to electricity, city water, or sewer/dump station.  Trash will be available, as well as a separate dumpster for ashes/coals.
